Holy Ghost Experience: Explained
With just a few short days left for our Kickstarter campaign, I wanted to try to communicate my ultimate vision for what is to be the lifeblood of this entire Kickstarter experience, and hopefully get you excited for what is about to come. Read on to find out the details…
First, the urgency. I’m not sure everyone totally understands this fact, so allow me to point it out bluntly. After June 1 at 11:59PM CST, the Kickstarter campaign will be closed, as will your chance to be a part of this historic journey. We simply will not have the ability to add people into this experience once the campaign has ended, which means if you want in, or even THINK you might want in, you only have until June 1 to decide. After that, you’ll just have to wait a year to see the finished film.
Now, what in the world are we going to do? Directors typically head off to make their films on their own, and the public is forced to wait until they are finished before they can see the results. Occasionally they will provide random updates of their progress for eager fans, but those are always parsed out in such a way that the viewer is left wondering what is happening on a day-to-day basis. For the first time in film history, we’re going to take the viewers along for the entire journey. You’ll “virtually” join us in the airports, on train platforms, in car rides to locations, and of course, on the locations themselves. I’ve got big plans for these updates, and it’s my goal to make them as entertaining and informative as the film itself.
You’re also going to get some perks that we hadn’t planned before, like live streaming of entire interviews with people like Bill Johnson, Michael W Smith, Reinhard Bonnke, and Toby Mac. For the first time ever, you’re going to be able to hear my interviews in their entirety (you don’t even get this with the Deluxe Editions), which can sometimes go into such depth that they last up to 3 hours!
But it’s not just the behind the scenes stuff that you’ll experience. Once I get to the editing process, this is where things will get even more interesting. My goal is to literally have you alongside me in my studio. I’ll be asking you questions as I edit, getting your input on design concepts, and possibly even showing you early cuts of specific scenes of the film. It’s going to be very organic and real, which should make the finished film that much sweeter for you, since you’ll have the entire backstory accompanying you as you press PLAY.
As much as we have raised to make this movie, right now there are only around 1500 people who will be joining me on this journey. At this point, I want as many friends coming with me as possible. So if you’re still on the fence, go to Kickstarter now and join me. A one-time pledge of $20 is all you need to gain access to this entire behind-the-scenes extravaganza. And please, tell your family and friends to join too, so you can all experience it together. It’s going to be an amazing journey, so don’t miss out!
